Cannes Day Three - 10 May 2018

Today, I watched two movies. One was pretty bad, and one was incredible. The first movie we watched is called The Boogie Man. I went into it really knowing nothing about it except for it was going to intertwine Bollywood and 1970’s Funk. It was not the worst movie i’d ever seen, but it was cliché in just about every way possible. After the movie ended, we ran out to the front of the Palais to beg for tickets for Pawel Pawlikowski’s Zimna Wojna. The title is translated to Cold War. It was moving, incredible, and uniquely done. The experience of being at that premiere, walking the carpet, and sitting in the theatre with the director and actors was special beyond words could express. After the movie ended, we hung around the festival area a little longer and simply took it all in.

  1. Love the last sentence in this post...what a day, what a wonderful way to end a day at Cannes.
